Walt Disney bio and death from Lung Cancer
At age 16, during World War I, he lied about his age to join the American Red Cross. He soon returned home, where he won a scholarship to the Kansas City Art Institute. There, he met a fellow animator, Ubi werks. The two soon set up their own company. In the early 20s, they made a series of animated shorts for the Newman theater chain, entitled "Newman's Laugh-O-Grams". Their company soon went bankrupt, however. The two then went to Hollywood in 1923. They started work on a new series, about a live-action little girl who journeys to a world of animated characters. Entitled the "Alice Comedies", they were distributed by M.J. Winkler (Margaret). Walt was backed up financially only by Winkler and his brother Roy o disney, who remained his business partner for the rest of his life. Hundreds of "Alice Comedies" were produced between 1923 and 1927, before they lost popularity. Walt then started work on a series around a new animated character, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit. This series was successful, but in 1928, Walt discovered that M.J. Winkler and her husband, charles mintz, had stolen the rights to the character away from him. They had also stolen all his animators, except for ub iwerks. While taking the train home, Walt started doddling on a piece of paper. The result of these doddles was a mouse named Mickey. With only Walt and Ub to animate, and Walt's wife Lillian Disney (Lilly) and Roy's wife Edna Disney to ink in the animation cells, three Mickey Mouse cartoons were quickly produced. The first two didn't sell, so Walt added synchronized sound to the last one, Steamboat Willie (1928), and it was immediately picked up. It became the first cartoon to use synchronize sound. With Walt as the voice of Mickey, it premiered to great success. Many more cartoons followed. Walt was now in the big time, but he didn't stop creating new ideas. In 1929, he created the 'Silly Symphonies', a cartoon series that didn't have a continuous character. They were another success. One of them, Flowers and Trees (1932), was the first cartoon to be produced in color and the first cartoon to win an Oscar; another, Three Little Pigs (1933), was so popular it was often billed above the feature films it accompanied. The Silly Symphonies stopped coming out in 1939, but Mickey and friends, (including Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, and plenty more), were still going strong and still very popular. In 1934, Walt started work on another new idea: a cartoon that ran the length of a feature film. Everyone in Hollywood was calling it "Disney's Folly", but Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937) was anything but, winning critical raves, the adoration of the public, and one big and seven little special Oscars for Walt. Now Walt listed animated features among his ever-growing list of accomplishments. While continuing to produce cartoon shorts, he also started producing more of the animated features. Pinocchio (1940), Dumbo (1941), and Bambi (1942) were all successes; not even a flop like Fantasia (1940) and a studio animators' strike in 1941 could stop Disney now. In the mid- 40s, he began producing "packaged features", essentially a group of shorts put together to run feature length, but by 1950 he was back with animated features that stuck to one story, with Cinderella (1950), Alice in Wonderland (1951), and Peter Pan (1953). In 1950, he also started producing live-action films, with Treasure Island (1950). These began taking on greater importance throughout the 50s and 60s, but Walt continued to produce animated features, including Lady and the Tramp (1955), Sleeping Beauty (1959), and One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961). In 1955, he even opened a theme park in southern California: Disneyland. It was a place where children and their parents could take rides, just explore, and meet the familiar animated characters, all in a clean, safe environment. It was another great success.Walt also became one of the first producers of films to venture into television, with his series "Disneyland" (1954) which he began in 1954 to promote his theme park. He also produced "The Mickey Mouse Club" (1955) and "Zorro" (1957). To top it all off, Walt came out with the lavish musical fantasy Mary Poppins (1964), which mixed live-action with animation. It is considered by many to be his magnum opus. Even after that, Walt continued to forge onward, with plans to build a new theme park and an experimental prototype city in Florida. He never did finish those plans, however; in 1966, he contracted lung cancer. He died in December at age 65. But not even his death, it seemed, could stop him. Roy carried on plans to build the Florida theme park, and it premiered in 1971 under the name Walt Disney World. What's more, his company continues to flourish, still producing animated and live-action films and overseeing the still- growing empire started by one man: Walt Disney, who will never be forgotten.Death caused by circulatory failure due to complications from lung cancerDisney's death spawned two rumors that became urban legends. The first is that he had his body cryogenically frozen. The second held that he was buried somewhere on the grounds of Disneyland. Both rumors are completely untrue. Disney was cremated and his ashes interred at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles, California. Active anti-communist Father-in-law of Ron Miller (married to his daughter Diane Disney) As a teenager, Walt Disney was a member of the Order of DeMolay, a youth organization affiliated with Free Masons. Interred at Forest Lawn, Glendale, California, USA. Facing the Freedom Mausoleum, to your left hand side are two small private gardens. His is the one farthest back. Plaque is on the wall behind the trees (to your left standing at the gate). Holds the record of winning the most Academy Awards with 22 wins in competitive categories. Additionally, he won three honorary Oscars and an Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award. Identified as the founder of the Tomorrowland Transit Authority in film clips shown in the queue area of Rocket Rods (formerly, the CircleVision 360 Theater) at Disneyland Became interested in personalizing animals' characters after carelessly killing a small owl as a young boy. He felt deeply remorseful and guilty and vowed never again to kill a living creature. Father of Diane Disney (born December 18, 1933). Inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2000 for the multiplane camera. Worked as a paperboy as a youth. Briefly worked for Walter Lantz as an animator. In the animated short Mickey's Rival (1936), a character named Mortimer Mouse was modeled after him. Chose Anaheim, California for the location of Disneyland after demographics experts convinced him it would become a major population center within 10 years. They were right. His death was not publicly announced until after his funeral, which was attended only by close family members. Reportedly, his famous trademark signature was designed for him by one of his animators. Was a frequent target of satire by animator Jay Ward. Reports surfaced that shortly after his death, Disney Company executive board members were shown a short film that Disney had made before his death, where he addressed the board members by name, telling each of them what was expected of them. The film ended with Disney saying, "I'll be seeing you." Mickey Mouse's birthday is November 18, 1928, the date when Steamboat Willie (1928) was released. Donald Duck's birthday is June 9, 1934, the date when The Wise Little Hen (1934) was released. The name Donald Duck is frequently written in on voting ballots in Scandanavian countries as a protest vote. Inducted into the Hall of Famous Missourians in 1993. Shortly after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941, an Army draft notice, addressed to Mr. Donald Duck, was delivered to the Disney studios. Tribute in the Memory of Film section at the Flanders International Film Festival in Ghent, Belgium. [2001] The Disney family came from Kilkenny, Ireland. The D'Isney family settled in County Kilkenny to escape religious persecution and later traveled to America. Daughter Sharon Disney was adopted. Grandfather of Christopher Disney Miller, Joanna Miller, Tamara Scheer, Jennifer Miller-Goff, Walter Elias Disney Miller, Ronald Miller, Victoria Brown. Nephew of Robert Disney. Brother of Herbert Disney, Raymond Disney, Roy O. Disney and Ruth Disney. Son of Elias Disney and Flora Disney. Was dyslexic. After adapting Ludwig van Beethoven's 6th Symphony for the soundtrack of Fantasia (1940), he exclaimed, "My God, this Beethoven will go a long way!" Pictured on a 6¢ US commemorative postage stamp issued in his honor, 11 September 1968. In 1981, Walt Disney Productions (now The Walt Disney Company) purchased the rights to the Disney name from Retlaw Enterprises, the Disney family's company. Retlaw is Walter spelled backwards. His grandfather lived in Ontario, Canada. From there he moved to the United States. Was a major contributor to the success of the 1964-65 New York World's Fair, primarily via his creative use of audio-animatronics (lifelike, internally animated figures). Among other things, he designed the Carousel of Progress for the General Electric exhibit, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln for the State of Illinois exhibit, and, most enduringly, It's a Small World for Pepsi Cola. One of the most popular attractions at the Fair, featuring animated figures of children from all over the world, the latter has since successfully established itself as a perennial crowd-pleaser at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. All three exhibits were transformed into attractions at Disneyland. Only the Carousel of Progress is not still open. It was closed to be turned into America Sings in Tomorrowland. It is Hollywood legend that, lying on his deathbed at St. Jospeh's Hospital in Burbank (across the street from the Disney Studios) his last words were about how shabby the studio's water tower looked. Visible from a nearby freeway, towering above the backlot, it is adorned with the image of his most beloved creation, Mickey Mouse. In adherance with what they believed were their founder's last wishes, studio executives have made sure the water tower was regularly repainted since he died in 1966. He was a chain smoker. He avoided smoking when he was in public view, especially where he might be seen by children. His smokers' cough often heralded his arrival in a particular wing of the studio, allowing off-task employees time to get on task. In his autobiography, one-time Disney storyboard artist Bill Peet essentially described Walt Disney as a chain-smoking "work-a-holic" who was prone to strong mood swings. He often called composer Robert B. Sherman into his office to play the piano for him. His favorite song was Feed the Birds from Mary Poppins (1964). He got his idea and inspiration for Disneyland, when he visited the "Tivoli"-park in Denmark. Was initiated into DeMolay at the Mother Chapter in Kansas City Missouri, in 1920. Received the DeMolay Legion of Honor in 1931. On November 13, 1986, he was a member of the first group to be inducted into the DeMolay Hall of Fame. His father, Elias Disney, was a professional carpenter by trade who, among other things, worked on the construction of the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, the prototype for all World's Fairs to follow. When Walt and his brother Roy O. Disney were boys, their father would tell them of the many wonders of the Fair, such as the first ferris wheel, thus inspiring the dreams that would make them both successful as adults. Was awarded an honorary Oscar "For the creation of Mickey Mouse" by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences at the fifth Awards ceremony held on November 10, 1932, at the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles. It was only the second honorary Oscar yet awarded by the Academy. The recipient of the first honorary Oscar, Charles Chaplin, was supposed to present the award to Disney, but he stayed home that night. He also founded the motion picture distribution company Buena Vista Pictures Entertainment, a subsidiary of his empire. His empire now includes Hollywood Pictures Company and its specialty films unit; Caravan Pictures; Touchstone Pictures; Miramax Films Corporation and its specialty films unit, Dimension Films; American Broadcasting Company (ABC), ABC Family Channel, and ESPN. According to former Disney animators, the whispered code that Walt Disney was nearby was "Man is in the forest," a sly reference to the film Bambi (1942). Brother-in-law of Hazel Sewell. Uncle of Marjorie Sewell. Profiled in in J.A. Aberdeen's "Hollywood Renegades: The Society of Independent Motion Picture Producers.". Although he has been called politically conservative, actually voted mainly for Democrats until the 1940 presidential election. This was a main reason why he was asked by HUAC to testify, and was always particularly anti-communist, because his worst nightmare was being called one. In 1964, Disney was one of several Americans chosen by President Lyndon Johnson to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor. The award ceremony was held at the White House on 14 September 1964. The urban myth that Disney wore a "Vote for Goldwater" button during the ceremony to endorse Johnson's opponent in the upcoming election, Republican Barry Goldwater, is completely false and has been debunked many times. He was one of the founding members of the right-wing Motion Picture Alliance for the Preservation of American Ideals in February 1944, along with Robert Taylor, Adolphe Menjou, Sam Wood, Norman Taurog, Gary Cooper, Clarence Brown and Clark Gable. Wanted to name Mickey Mouse "Mortimer Mouse" when he drew him. He showed the picture to his wife and his wife did not like the idea and told him to name him "Mickey Mouse". Some historians believe that Mickey's name was inspired from a toy mouse by Performo Toy Company named "Micky" (spelled without an "e"), which was extremely popular and had already been selling at the time when Disney was developing his Mickey Mouse. Was first nominated for an Oscar (as producer) in 1932, the year he also got the honorary award for creating Mickey Mouse. From that year until 1965 (the year before his death), Disney received one or more Academy Award nominations every year except 1933 and 1941. Supported Ronald Reagan's run for governor of California in 1966. The last animated movie he ever put his personal touch on was The Jungle Book (1967). Disney had been in bad health for a few months, before he finally entered St. Joseph Hospital in Burbank, California, on 2 November 1966, complaining of pain in his neck and back. An X-ray revealed a tumor on his left lung and surgery was advised. Disney, however checked out to finish some studio business and re-entered the hospital on 6 November. Surgery was performed the next day and his left lung was found to be entirely cancerous and was removed. He refused to allow Alfred Hitchcock to film at Disneyland in the early 1960s, because Hitchcock had made "that disgusting movie Psycho (1960).".Served in a Red Cross unit with Ray Kroc, future founder of the McDonald's fast food chain.Disney is credited as Retlaw Yensid for Lt. Robin Crusoe, U.S.N. (1966)'s original story. The pseudonym is Walter Disney reversed. In companion to her saucy poses for some pictures featured on Maxim's January 2009 issue, hillary duff also discusses with the magazine such major issues like her virginity and the false media stories about her. Besides, she also breaks her silence on her love relationship with boyfriend Mike Comrie. "You know what? I was quoted saying I was a virgin, but I absolutely did not say that," the former teen actress tells Maxim when referring to a published 2006 interview with Elle, which quoted her as saying "It's harder having a boyfriend who's older because people just assume. But [virginity] is definitely something I like about myself. It doesn't mean I haven't thought about sex, because everyone I know has had it and you want to fit in." Refusing to discuss the issue further, she insists, "That's nobody's business but my own." No explanation has been given by Hilary's people on why she waits two years to set the record straight on Elle's quote of her saying. The actress-singer then goes on dishing to Maxim on some of the other stories written about her, stating "I've been accused by the press of giving lap dances at clubs. I mean, little ol' me? And they're so descriptive about these lap dances. I don't even know how to do a lap dance!" Relating that matter to her getting sexy in the music video of single "Reach Out" off her greatest hits album "Best of hilary duff", Hilary explains, "I was ready to do something different. The intent was not to be overtly sexual; I'm not naked. I do have little shorts on in it." On rumors claiming she is engaged to Mike, she comments, "I'm a relationship person. Now it's all over the Internet that I'm getting engaged to my boyfriend. The truth is, I just like to wear rings!" The january 2009 issue, which features Hilary Duff on its cover and some pictures inside, plus her tell-all interview will hit the newsstands next Tuesday, December 23.

Attending the Los Angeles premiere of big screen flick Bed time storieshis New Year's kiss. "I think all of the Jonas Brothers," the British comedian answered when asked on who he wants to kiss on New Year. On wanting to kiss Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas, Russell added he wants to kiss them all "very gently and consensually." He, nevertheless, wouldn't disclose on why he wants the siblings. Russell Brand, who served as the host of the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards in early September, poked fun at Jonas Brothers' "purity rings" for more than half of the show. He suggested that the boys shouldn't keep their virginity for marriage, but rather take advantage of their youth and celebrity status. He later offered an apology though. "I've gotta say sorry because I said those things about promise rings; that was bad of me. I didn't mean to take it lightly," so he stated after being criticized by a number of celebs concerning his mean remark. Jonas Brothers themselves had nothing, but positive response towards Russell's joke, insisting they had no beef with him. "For us it's cool to see that he recognizes we are gentlemen," Nick Jonas told BBC's Radio 1.

Hilary Ann Lisa Duff, an American actress and pop singer famous during the year of 2000, was born on September 28, 1987 in Houston, Texas. She is born to Bob Duff and Susan Duff, who is a producer. She has one older sister named Haylie duff who is also an actress, works in music group Inventing Venus. At the age of six, Hilary and Haylie both participated in the ballet The Nutcracker Suite with Columbus Ballet Met in San Antonio. Since then Hilary really enjoyed performing in front of many people and subsequently decided to pursue an acting career, appeared in a few television commercials and began heading to auditions. After such efforts, Hilary finally got her first role, which was in the 1997 TV mini-series "True Women." One year later, in 1998, she appeared as the star of that year video "Casper Meets Wendy" as the young witch Wendy with the animated character Casper the Friendly Ghost. Never let the year passed her by without did nothing, the next year in 1999 Hilary appeared as Ellie in the TV movie "The Soul Collector," for which she won a Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Movie or ... Pilot for Supporting Young Actress resulted in her receiving rave reviews and recognition. This was the beginning of all for Hilary who soon came to her career breakthrough as the star of the successful Disney Channel show "Lizzie McGuire" in 2001, depicting the project's main role, Lizzie McGuire, a seventh grader encountering social problems with her schoolmates, teachers and family. Her appearance in this show as a typical teenager preceded Hilary's appearances on the cover of teen magazines that made her highly popular among children between the ages of seven and fourteen. Surprisingly, in 2003 this Hollywood's babe announced that she would no longer act in the "Lizzie McGuire" show due to a contract dispute with Disney, in which she was paid $35,000 an episode to appear on the program, yet she was receiving millions of dollars to act in movies. Hence she turned her direction away, taking part in movie production and got her first movie role in an independent US/French co-production "Human Nature" released in 2001. Later, she got a chance to star in television movie entitled "Cadet Kelly" where she played along Christy Carlson Romano and Gary Cole. "Cadet Kelly" is a Disney Channel movie about a teenage girl being sent to military school. She is a New York "girlie girl", which makes the plot even funnier, as she tries to survive in the "battle." Next, Hilary landed her feet on the 2003 hit movie "Agent cody banks". Released in the U.S. on March 13, the movie was of action genre that followed the adventures of 15-year-old Cody Banks, played by Frankie munez who has to finish his chores, avoid getting grounded, and save the world by going undercover for the CIA. Adding more film projects to her resume, Hilary decided to one more time play her first million-dollar movie role, Lizzie McGuire in "The Lizzie McGuire Movie." At the end of 2003, she, along with Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt, played in the 20th Century Fox dramedy entitled "Cheaper by the Dozen" before then involved herself in "A Cinderella Story" alongside Chad Michael Murray with a salary of $2 million, and in "Raise Your Voice." As of November that year, her next film projects were planned to be "The Perfect Man" and "Outward Blonde," both anticipated to be released in 2005. Acting career aside, Hilary also well known as a good singer. Her first recorded singing performance was on the song "I Can't Wait", which appeared on the "Lizzie McGuire Original Television Soundtrack" in 2002. In addition, she also sang on several other songs on the soundtrack to "The Lizzie McGuire Movie," including "Why Not", which was released as a single and had successfully reached the top 20 in Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands. At first Hilary tried to record an album was a 2002 collection of Christmas songs called "Santa Claus Lane," which made the lower reaches of the Billboard 200 album chart and number 3 on the kids music chart in 2002. Though it didn't work well, at least the title track of the album had been featured on the soundtrack to "The Santa Clause 2" starring Tim Allen. Later in 2003, Hilary recorded her another "first" album, entitled "Metamorphosis," which would appeal to teenagers as well as the tweens who had supported her to date. Released on August 26, the album smoothly rocketed to number one on US and Canadian charts in that year. Covered in the album was The Matrix, who had worked with singers such as Avril Lavigne on her "Let Go" album and Liz Phair, provided three songs on it. One of the three songs, "So Yesterday," released as the LP's first single successfully reached number 2 in Canada, topped 40 in Australia and just outside the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 in the US. Such achievement brought "Metamorphosis" a nomination in the 2004 Juno Awards, Canada's version of the Grammys, for "International Album of the Year", losing to 50 Cent's "Get Rich or Die Tryin'". Still about her debut album, Hilary's video "Come Clean" was also got a nomination for Best Pop Video at the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards, brought the songbird herself to win the 2004 Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Female Singer and Best New Female Artist at the 2004 World Music Awards. What a good start?! May 31, 2004 was the time when a video of her cover version of "Our Lips are Sealed" by The Go-Go's with her sister Haylie made its MTV debut. The song is from the soundtrack of "A Cinderella Story." Later, on September 28, Hilary released her self-titled effort, which promises her fans an edgier, rock feel into it. Moreover, the album's two singles "Fly" and "Haters" were believed to be about Lindsay Lohan, who is widely believed as Hilary's rival. Personally, Hilary once dated singer Aaron Carter, Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter's younger brother, in 2002. The two met on the set of "Lizzie McGuire," when Carter had a cameo role on a Christmas episode. Sad to say their relationship only lasted a year and a half. It was reported that Carter cheated on her with her best friend. He did sorry in the future, but that unfortunately couldn't end the feud between Duff and La-Lohan. After the bitter romance, the actress-singer dated Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden. Singing aside, Hilary added one more movieproject into her resume, the 2005 comedy "Cheaper by the Dozen 2", a 20th Century Fox production and is the sequel to the family comedy film "Cheaper by the Dozen" (2003) which she also starred in. Playing alongside the film original cast, Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt, Piper Perabo, and Tom Welling, all of them reprised their roles as members of the twelve-child Baker family. The reviews were slightly negative, and thus plan for "Cheaper by the Dozen 3" was put off immediately. In between her hectic filming schedules, Hilary took time to the recording studio, worked on her fourth album "Most Wanted". Comprised her favorite tracks from her previous two albums, remixes, and new songs inspired by pop-rock musicians such as The Killers and Muse, the LP was quite a success, topped the U.S. album charts for two consecutive weeks, sold 1.3 million copies in the U.S. by March 2006. Greater than that, the lead single, "Wake Up", became the songbird's highest debut on the Billboard Hot 100 and her highest peaking single in the U.S., with its video received heavy rotation on MTV. The video for the second single, "Beat of My Heart", in addition, was also popular. The 2006 satirical comedy "Material Girls" reunited Hilary and sister Haylie as wealthy siblings who must fight to reclaim their fortune following a scandal. This movie also was a flop, debuted at number nine on the weekend box office chart, grossing $4.62 million in its first three days of release. Then was billed to star in the 2007 computer-animated film "Foodfight!", she subsequently signed on to star in "Brand Hauser: Stuff Happens." Is a dark political satire starring John Cusack, Ben Kingsley, and Marisa Tomei among others, the movie is expected to be released in late 2007. In between her hectic schedules, Hilary, sadly, was faced with the down side of her life when she in November 2006 broke her relationship with boyfriend Joel Madden after more than two years dating, cited age difference as the reason. The following year, the beauty got back on the dating scene again as she found a new love in hockey player Mike Comrie.

Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton going to jail for 45 days has changed her views today as she sees the new world with new responsibilities and her role in entertainment. She is one of the celebs that turned her life around!A judge sentenced Paris Hilton to 45 days in jail Friday for violating her probation, putting the brakes on the hotel heiress' famous high life. Hilton, who parlayed her name and relentless partying into worldwide notoriety, must go to jail on June 5 and she will not be allowed any work release, furloughs, use of an alternative jail or any electronic monitoring in lieu of jail, Superior Court Judge Michael T. Sauer ruled after a hearing. The judge ruled that she was in violation of the terms of her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case. "I'm very sorry and from now on I'm going to pay complete attention to everything. I'm sorry and I did not do it on purpose at all," she told the judge before he announced the sentence. She was then ordered to report to a women's jail in suburban Lynwood on the set date or face 90 days behind bars. As a city prosecutor said during closing arguments that Hilton deserved jail time, Hilton's mother, Kathy, laughed. When the judge ruled, Kathy Hilton then blurted out: "May I have your autograph?" Paris Hilton was among a series of witnesses who took the stand during the hearing. She maintained she was unaware her license was suspended and thought she was allowed to drive for work purposes. She said that when an officer who stopped her in January made her sign a document stating her license was suspended, she thought he was mistaken and did not actually look at the document. Hilton arrived at the courthouse 10 minutes after the scheduled 1:30 p.m. start time of the hearing. The heiress arrived in the back of a black Cadillac Escalade and swept into the Metropolitan Courthouse with several men in suits, ignoring screams of photographers lining the route into a rear entrance. In addition to her mother, her father, Rick, also came with her. Wearing a gray jacket and white shirt over black slacks and with a black headband on, she said nothing and appeared serious. The celebrity case brought an unusual scene to the austere courthouse south of downtown in a commercial area. As if at a red-carpet event, dozens of photographers and reporters lined up at the rear entrance. Yellow police tape substituted for velvet ropes. Hilton, 26, pleaded no contest in January to reckless driving stemming from a Sept. 7 arrest in Hollywood. Police said she appeared intoxicated and failed a field sobriety test. She had a blood-alcohol level of .08 percent, the level at which an adult driver is in violation of the law. She was sentenced to 36 months probation, alcohol education and $1,500 in fines. Two other traffic stops and failure to enroll in a mandated alcohol education program are what landed the socialite back in court. On Jan. 15, Hilton was pulled over by California Highway Patrol. Officers informed her that she was driving on a suspended license and she signed a document acknowledging that she was not to drive, according to papers filed in Superior Court. Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies stopped Hilton on Feb. 27 and charged her with violating her probation. Police said she was pulled over at about 11 p.m. after authorities saw the car speeding with its headlights off. Hilton's spokesman, Elliot Mintz, said at the time Hilton wasn't aware her license was suspended. A copy of the document Hilton signed on Jan. 15 was found in the car's glove compartment, court papers say. Hilton was also required to enroll in an alcohol education program by Feb. 12. As of April 17, she had not enrolled, prosecutors said. Hilton, heiress to the Hilton Hotel fortune, first gained notoriety for her hard partying as a teen. She attracted worldwide attention when a sex tape she made with a boyfriend was released on the Internet.

“The Hills”
A Los Angeles Superior Court official said Tuesday that MTV was recently granted permission to shoot in a courtroom in Beverly Hills, but it was done after hours and that’s not one of their judges sitting on the bench in “The Hills” footage. MTV was granted permission to film “what purported to be a wedding outside of court hours” at the Beverly Hills courthouse, court spokesman Allan Parachini said Tuesday. He did not know who the participants were in the wedding, but Parachini said court officials wanted the filming to be treated as a news event. The preview for next week’s season finale features a wood-paneled courtroom with the California state seal perched on the wall behind a judge. Civil ceremonies are sometimes performed at the Beverly Hills courthouse, but not in the manner portrayed in the brief preview. If a judge does preside, it is typically in chambers during a break, Parachini said.
Jennifer Lopez & Marc Anthony
Jennifer said “He’s very, very controlling of her. The skirts aren’t as short. You don’t see so much of that booty anymore.” “Jennifer looked around and said, ‘This is my life now? I’m a Long Island housewife?’ She hates that everything she worked for went down the tubes.”“One night after their tense family Thanksgiving in which the couple ‘didn’t sit together,’ Anthony hit NYC hotspots Bungalow 8 and Marquee, where he was spotted with his hand on a woman’s thigh and overheard complaining about his wife to a group of women, ‘telling them, ‘She’s making me miserable.’
Madonna
Madonna will reportedly pay Guy Ritchie $75 million as part of their divorce settlement. That figure includes the value of their English country estate. According to Madonna spokesperson, “I’d assume it’s one of the largest payouts ever in a divorce settlement.” Hmmm…this is a situation where it’s hard to take sides. Do you feel sorry for the over-the-hill skank…or do you think the gold digging man whore deserves all that cash?

Entertainment Today
Jermaine Dupri
Jermaine Dupri has taken precautions to deny rumors that he and longtime love Janet Jackson have broken up and that the pop diva is pregnant, as she was so labeled by a recent magazine cover. "As you all know Janet is a very private person and the only reason you see her as much as you do on my YouTube vlog is because of Dupri. So hear you have it… No she is not pregnant and yes they are still together."Rumors arose that Miss Jackson was expecting after she was forced to miss nearly a dozen dates on her Rock Witchu tour due to, according to her camp, migraine-induced vertigo. Then the lack of Dupri sightings while Jackson was recuperating further hinted at the possibility of a breakup. Dupri is still not a father!
Peter Facinelli
He may play a 400 year-old vampire in Twilight, but Peter Facinelli looked like a kid in a candy store backstage at New York radio station Z100's Jingle Ball 2008. People caught him playing in the H&M Artists Gift Lounge with Soda Stream by Soda Club -- an eco-friendly soda maker! Soda stream staffers invited Peter and other celebs to mix their own fizzy potions with a machine that instantly turns water into soda, with no wasteful bottles to dispose of! Blood was not a flavor option, so Pete put together Pete's Choice instead, which tasted a bit like Dr. Pepper. So how's life post-Twilight? The down-to-earth family guy (he's married to 90210 star Jennie Garth)had plenty to say about helping the needy this holiday season, the cause that's closest to his heart (psst! One of them involves donating blood!), and even now young people can finally be more financially stable during these current tough economic times.

Entertainment gossip
The young entrepreneurs Soulja Boy (DeAndre Ramone Way) and Nick Cannon (Nicholas Scott Cannon) are making plans to star in a new TV series on Nickelodeon which reportedly was inspired by Will Smith’s hit 90’s show. Cannon is familiar with working on-screen and is most known for being on Nickelodeon’s “All That” in 1998, “The Nick Cannon Show” in 2001, “Wild ‘N Out,” and with a line of movie roles to follow. In April the actor/producer married singer Mariah Carey. Soulja Boy on the other hand has been developing his brand and has created a daze craze across the internet. Although Soulja Boy has not been noted as having on-screen credits to his name, his YouTube account may very well justify how interested the television world will be interested in seeing him. I cant wait to see this wondering how it will turn out or how it will contribute to our lives!

Oprah Winfrey
Oprah Winfrey
Consistently ranked as one of the richest and most powerful women in the world - even credited with giving President-elect Obama over one million votes - Oprah Winfrey has indeed risen to heights heretofore thought unimaginable. As with all of humanity, though, Oprah has had one very persistent and public struggle, and that is with her weight, which has fluctuated through the years, unlike her meteoric star. As we watched her shows over a 20-year period, you'll see that Winfrey remains smart about choosing styles that compliment her figure at any size. There should be NO shame in her game!

MOVIE GOSSIP
"Terminator Salvation"
Director McG and Halycon execs Derek Anderson and Victor Kubicek are already planning a fifth "Terminator” movie. The announcement was made at Dubai Intl. Film Festival. Halycon had originally planned to wait until the release of "Terminator Salvation" next summer before deciding on whether to proceed with the next chapter, but the positive studio, fan and media reaction to footage from the current pic has encouraged them to move forward ahead of schedule. Christian Bale signed on for the role of John Connor for "Salvation" and the two sequels. The fifth "Terminator" film is expected to be released in 2011. "Terminator Salvation" opens in theaters May 2009.
“The day the earth stood still”
In any aliens-out-to-conquer-Earth flick, you know obviously that the invaders want to annihilate the human race in order to pillage the planet's resources. Occasionally you get a message-filled extermination extravaganza and the aliens can speak earth language only to tell us how we don't deserve the planet. "The Day the Earth Stood Still," a remake of a decent but overrated 1951 film, has a similar alien message-spokesman with an accompanying giant impenetrable robot. This time the aliens seem to be heavily concerned environmentalists (perhaps they've viewed “An Inconvenient Truth”), and while they may have not heard the term Green Energy, they feel that earthlings are incapable of making the correct changes to save the planet from environmental ruin. The alien Klaatu (Keanu Reeves) is put under a number of probing tests by scientists, eventually getting fed up and demanding that he be taken to their leader. Defense Secretary Regina Jackson (Kathy Bates, doing her ball buster bit) is convinced that Klaatu and his associates, hiding inside their glowing sphere spaceship that changes composition like the sphere of “Solaris,” are out to do harm and nothing but. Klaatu, with the assistance of sensitive bio-scientist Helen Benson (Jennifer Connelly), escape military facilities and go on the run. This remake has some cool special effects shots and particular scenes are beautifully flooded with blinding white lighting reminiscent of Spielberg extraterrestrial flicks, but the movie goes "blah" with a bunch of let's run from one spot to the next scenarios that don't build upon anything dramatically cathartic. Special effects shots aside, this is stillborn drama with Connelly making whimpering pleads to Reeves about how people can change. It doesn't help that Connelly has an annoying kid (Jaden Smith) who staunchly distrusts the aliens and at one point rings the authorities to Klaatu's location. Predictably Klaatu has to convince the kid that his alien race isn't all that bad. I mean, they only want to preserve the planet even if it requires human genocide. The production uses a lot of sterile building settings in the early scenes when Klaatu is being examined and then a lot of forest exteriors once the movie hits the road. This had to have kept production costs down, or at least made budget costs room for a couple of whopper destruction scenes. The military often attacks the sphere spaceship to no avail, but the audience gets treated to CGI-candy. Eventually they get robot Gort in sealed containment in a spool of scenes that makes no sense. We never see the U.S. president, as the flick stays in the company of Defense Secretary Jackson most of the time. She gets on the phone with the Commander in Chief who lays down repeat orders to attack the sphere and terminate Klaatu once captured. The film doesn't say the name of which president is in office. Do you think it is George W. or Obama? The clueless script evades any sense of our people making peaceful relations with the aliens – it's all very cynical from the get-go. A number of scenarios with bewildered people share protracted conversations that cannot be solved because the right thing to say is almost stubbornly not said within the script. That means slow humans. If we can't represent at least some smarter people on Earth then do we deserve the planet? I look forward to a smarter alien flick in the future penned by Peter Morgan, Stephen Gaghan, Frank Darabont, or hey, Diablo Cody where the characters are respectably intelligent.

Celebrity life style
Mischa Barton and her rocker boyfriend Taylor Locke have split after an extended vacation in Africa. Mischa broke it off after fighting with the Rooney front man for three straight weeks while on safari. That sounds fun. Blazing heat, giant bugs, getting sticky and stinky and sleeping in a tent with someone you can’t stand. Mischa and Taylor’s romance worked because they spent so much time apart. He’d be on tour or she’d be working in Europe and they talked over the phone or e-mail. They fought almost every day on the trip and she broke up with him just a few days after they returned to L.A. Mischa who? Oh yeah the OC. I almost forgot….her 15 minutes are almost up. She will be on Dancing with the Stars or Celebrity Boxing within 5 years.
Victoria Beckham is doing her very best to stop Father Time from putting her back into the divorced milf category. David Beckham will be dropping her within a couple years like hot potato. Well anyways, nice haircut….tick tock tick tock. Maybe you shouldn’t be shopping so much….save a little money for a rainy day.
